Cowboys Will Host LSU S Eric Reid For Pre-draft Visit

Reid is projected to be a second-round pick in April's NFL Draft

Dallas Cowboys head coach will head to Baton Rouge, La. on Wednesday to watch LSU’s Pro Day, and according to a report in the Dallas Morning News, the team has a particular interest in safety Eric Reid. In the coming weeks, Reid will come to Dallas for an official pre-draft visit, one of 30 the team is afforded by the league.

Reid declared for the 2013 NFL Draft following his junior season, and is projected to be picked up sometime in the second round.

The Cowboys, of course, have spent the offseason thus far looking for safety help after releasing veteran Gerald Sensabaugh in a cost-cutting maneuver just before the league’s free agency period.

They could address that need in the draft, free agency or both, and have already hosted veterans Will Allen and Michael Huff at Valley Ranch.

It is still generally thought that Dallas will go after an offensive lineman with their first round pick, No. 18 overall.
