Cowboys Should Get Easier Schedule In 2016

The Cowboys enter this long, bleak winter knowing two things:

1. At 4th overall, they have their highest draft since taking Russell Maryland No. 1 in 1991.

2. Their 2016 schedule – in theory – should also help with a quick bounce-back from this disastrous campaign.

4-12, after all, does have its rewards.

The fourth-place schedule should be the easiest in the NFC East, meaning the Cowboys will play the fourth-place teams from the NFC South (Buccaneers) and NFC West (49ers). Those games are in addition to meetings with the NFC North, AFC North and their traditional NFC East foes.
