The Texas Rangers were all set to send Scott Baker to the mound on Thursday night to kick off a 10-game homestand against the Seattle Mariners.
But that's not happening now.
Baker had a bout of neck stiffness, something that seemed to plague the entire Rangers clubhouse earlier in the year with the likes of Yu Darvish and Leonys Martin and more, and now the Rangers will trot Robbie Ross out a day ahead of his scheduled start.

Baker has done fairly well in his recent starting duty, and now has a 5.23 ERA on the season after going 6 1/3 innings and allowing two runs in his last start against Houston.
The Rangers said they hope Baker will be ready to go on Friday in Game 2 of the series, otherwise they'll really have to shuffle things up. But then again, what's new?
