Donald Trump read from a teleprompter and mostly avoided off the cuff remarks during his 15-minute victory speech on Tuesday, vowing to make supporters "proud of your party and our movement."
The GOP's presumptive nominee avoided name-calling of his rivals while speaking on his "America first" theme, NBC News reported.
The moderated tone followed criticism by fellow Republicans over Trump's racially-charged comments about Judge Curiel, who is overseeing a fraud case against Trump University in California.
But the victory speech had one hiccup: Trump mistook the name of the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal by calling it PPP.
He also appealed to Bernie Sanders supporters to join his cause.
