Police said an 18-year-old former Southlake student was jailed Tuesday for allegedly sending threatening text messages and threatening violence against schools.
While police said the teen, identified as 18-year-old Hudson Bales, is not believed to be a threat to the community, it was a big enough concern for every home in Southlake to get a call with a message from the police chief.
Police took the alleged threats seriously after authorities said they were found in text messages and even on social media.
The latest news from around North Texas.
The alleged threats alluded to violence against schools, but never specified which schools.
Bales, a former Southlake student, was arrested Tuesday afternoon.
