Police: Missing Toddler Out of Rowlett Found

An Amber Alert has been discontinued for a 2-year-old boy after Rowlett police confirm the toddler is back in the legal custody of his aunt.

According to police, the child, Henry, was taken from his aunt's home Saturday.

The grandmother of the child, who lives in DeSoto, called Rowlett police to tell them that she had Henry. When officers arrived, they found that this was not true and the child was sitll nowhere to be found, according to police. 

Shortly after that, officers recieved a call from the child's great-grandmother,  who stated that she had him and would bring him down to the police station.

Henry was reunited with his aunt and investigators are working to issue warrants for the person believed to have taken the child and his grandmother who falsely claimed she had the child. 

The investigation is ongoing.
