Police said the driver of a stolen SUV led officers on a high-speed chase through several North Texas cities Friday morning.
The chase began in Garland when an officer ran the plate of a parked, black SUV, which was flagged as stolen. The SUV then sped off before the officer could make the stop.
The driver of the SUV led police through Mesquite, Terrell, and back east toward Dallas on U.S. Highway 80. The pursuit ended in the westbound lanes of Highway 80 near Gateway Boulevard.
Two people inside the vehicle were arrested without incident, police told NBC 5.
