Now May Be The Time To Buy Smaller TVs

Nothing wows a crowd like a giant-screen television, but sometimes a smaller flat-screen TV is a more realistic, affordable choice.

Consumer Reports just released its top can't miss picks for people in search of a smaller television.

This 32-inch 720p set from Samsung was first introduced to the market in 2015, and believe it or not, it is still going strong! It's a basic model that offers very good high-definition picture quality and a wider-than-average viewing angle.

Consumer reports says its sound rating is only fair, but that's not uncommon in this screen size. It has two HDMI inputs and one USB port. You can order on amazon.com for $154.99.

SONY KDL-32W600D

This 32-inch LED TV from Sony delivers very good high definition picture quality, plus a wider-than-average viewing angle for an LCD set. Like many sets this size, its sound quality was only fair.

LG 32LJ500B

This 32-inch smart TV from LG is a 720p model. It delivers very good high-definition picture quality and a wider-than-average viewing angle for an LCD-based set.

This model is a 60Hz set, and comes with LG's updated webOS 3.5 smart TV system. It's going for $189.50 on Amazon.

LG 24LJ4840-WU

If you think you can get by with an even smaller set the 720p LED LCD TV from LG may be a great option for you. It's a smart TV with access to streaming services.

Experts say it delivers very good high-definition picture quality. It has two HDMI inputs, and two USB ports. You can find it on Amazon for $129.99.

Now if you're worried about sacrificing picture quality when you downsize the screen, tech experts say you shouldn't.

There are a number of smaller flat-screen TVs, including the ones mentioned above, with great high-definition picture quality. Now, you might have to give up features such as 4K UHD resolution. But that won't matter much on a screen 32 inches or less.
