Police said a man was fatally struck by a vehicle while trying to cross the northbound side of the highway to the west between Spring Valley and Belt Line roads at about 12:30 p.m.

The victim, who has not been identified, died at the scene.

That crash caused a traffic jam on the northbound side of Highway 75, which led to a charter bus and two other vehicles colliding, shutting down 75 at Midpark Road.

Richardson fire officials confirm to NBC 5 that two people from the second crash were transported to a hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
