Firefighters said a jogging teen was struck by a vehicle in McKinney Wednesday morning.
McKinney firefighters said the victim, thought to be between 15 and 17 years old, was struck near the intersection of Lake Forest Drive and Virginia Parkway at about 7:05 a.m.
The victim, a member of the Boyd High School cross country team, was practicing when he was struck, according to McKinney Independent School District spokesman Cody Cunningham.
Cunningham said the boy was airlifted to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening.
McKinney police said the driver remained at the scene. No charges have been filed.
