A community event Thursday in southern Dallas will provide free food and a wellness expo for residents.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Beckley-Saner Recreation Center at 114 W. Hobson Ave. in Oak Cliff.
Attendees can interact with live chefs and dieticians who will be giving demonstrations and teaching how people can make healthy changes to their diets and lifestyles.
Free bags of fresh produce from the farmer’s market will be given out, a news release said.

There will be multiple exercise stations for children, adults and seniors.
The event is sponsored by Aramark, the Buckner Family Hope Center at Wynnewood and Dallas Parks and Recreation.
