A woman was taken to a hospital after crashing into a police car in Dallas Thursday, according to police. [[306247311,C]]
Authorities said the crash happened after a woman tried to change lanes while driving south on South Hampton Road in southwest Dallas.
The woman collided with the police car, sending her SUV flipping into the yard of a home in the 2400 block of Bentley Avenue, police said.
The woman was ejected from her car and was taken to a hospital with injuries that police said were not life threatening. The officer had a minor injury to his hand and was treated at the scene.
The patrol car was responding to a call with its lights and sirens sounding when the crashed happened, authorities said.
The incident was one of two crashes involving Dallas police squad cars Thursday night.
