Police are investigating a double homicide after a woman found her brother and his girlfriend shot to death in his apartment, police said.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner has identified the girlfriend as 20-year-old Tinesha Taylor.
Taylor and her 30-year-old boyfriend were first discovered by the man's sister, who told police she was concerned because she hadn’t heard from her brother in several days.
She went to his home at the Deerfield Apartments at about 11:30 p.m. After looking through the back patio window, she found the couple’s bodies and called 911, police said.
“Officers did make entry, forced entry, through the front door and cleared the house to make sure there wasn’t anyone else in there, and upon entry they discovered the two bodies with apparent gunshot wounds,” Cpl. Gerardo Monreal said.
Police do not have any suspects and said it is still too early to determine the motive.
