North Texas Radio Legend Retires

A North Texas radio legend shuts off his microphone Wednesday morning.

During Terry Dorsey's 47-year career in radio, he spent 33 in North Texas and 26 at 96.3 KSCS.

"I have had fans that had been there from day one and that means so much to me," he said. "They will never know and I just want to thank them from the bottom of my heart."

During his final broadcast, Dorsey tried to think of his best moment with co-host Mark "Hawkeye" Louis. He couldn't come up with just one.

"There are so many," he said. "I can't put one on top of the other. We have had so much fun."

Dorsey say he is planning on moving to Illinois and try his hand at farming. The decision surprised Louis and station management.

Dorsey, who is originally from Cincinnati, started his radio career in Kentucky.
