4 Injured When MITS Bus Collides with Truck in Fort Worth

Four people were injured Monday morning when an MITS bus and a pickup truck collided near Campus Drive in Fort Worth.

The crash took place near the 5200 block of Campus Drive in South Fort Worth, not far from Tarrant County College's South Campus.

Three people suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to Medstar, while a third suffered serious, though not life-threatening injuries.

Medstar said two people were treated and released at the scene while two others were transported to area hospitals.  One of the injured transported was the driver of a pickup truck that was apparently rear-ended by the bus.  The driver suffered head, neck and back injuries and a loss of consciousness.

A passenger on the MITS bus was also injured when she slid out of her wheelchair.

The T's MITS buses are Fort Worth's Mobility-Impaired Transportation Service that offer door-to-door service for impaired people.
