Authorities said a man was injured in a collision involving an 18-wheeler and a boom lift that shut down the Dallas North Tollway Tuesday morning.
Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Lonny Haschel said construction crews were working on the Tennyson Parkway bridge when the 18-wheeler clipped the boom lift with a worker inside just before 6 a.m.
Haschel said the operator of the boom lift was seriously injured and transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital. His condition was not released.
The 18-wheeler driver was not injured, according to authorities.
The crash shut down the northbound lanes of the Tollway until about 6:30 a.m.
