Seasoning May be Contaminated with Salmonella

Adam's Extract and Spice LLC has recalled some products due to possible salmonella contamination

Adams Extract and Spice LLC has recalled products containing a specific batch of ground red pepper, which was supplied by Van de Vries Spice Corporation.
 
No illnesses have been reported to date, according to the company, but the products may be contaminated with salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.
 
The recalled products were distributed in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico through retail, mail order, Internet sales, and direct delivery.
 
The specific products that have been recalled are: Adams Cayenne Pepper; Adams Brisket Rub; Adams Multi-Season Seasoned Salt; Adams Multi-Seasoning; REX Cayenne Pepper Ground; REX Cayenne Pepper; Adams Reserve Cajun Seasoning; Carniceria Texas Red All Purpose Seasoning Adams; Carniceria B-B-Q Seasoning Adams; REX Crab Boil Ready Mix; and REX Fish Fry.
