Warhol Exhibit Coming to Fort Worth

Exhibit arrives in Texas on Valentine's Day

The Andy Warhol exhibit has turned out to be one of the more popular exhibits at the Milwaukee Art Museum and will soon arrive at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

The museum curated "Andy Warhol: The Last Decade," which features nearly 50 paintings from Warhol's last years. It's the first U.S. museum exhibit to examine this period.

Museum spokeswoman Vicki Scharfberg says attendance is up 51 percent compared to last year's exhibit at this time, "Act/React: Interactive Installation Art."

She says the Warhol exhibit ranks number nine in most popular exhibits. But she says it's hard to directly compare since each exhibit runs for different lengths of time and this one falls under a new fee structure.

The exhibit after Sunday and then goes to the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth on Feb. 14.
