Firefighters battled a large brush fire Tuesday in the McLendon-Chisholm city limits in Rockwall County.
Several neighboring departments assisted Rockwall County firefighters, as a helicopter dropped water above the flames. It took crews a couple of hours to put out the fire.
Fifty to 60 acres of land were damaged in the fire. No homes or structures were threatened or burned, although some were in close proximity to the blaze.
There were no injuries reported.
There was no word on how the fire started.
