A University of Texas at Austin business school graduate was killed in an attack on a luxury hotel and shopping complex in Kenya. The attack happened overnight at the DusitD2 complex in Nairobi. The death toll had climbed Wednesday to 21, including five militants. Al-Shabab, which is based in neighboring Somalia and allied with al-Qaida, claimed responsibility for the attack.
