Three Dallas Poets Plan Reading at Deep Vellum, as Publisher Sends Their Latest Works to Press

Local nonprofit press Deep Vellum Publishing will celebrate the publication of three new titles later this month with a free reading and discussion at its bookshop and headquarters on Commerce Street. The new works, a set of poetry chapbooks, are the first titles Deep Vellum has published by Dallas writers since its establishment in 2013.On Aug. 30 at 7 p.m., Deep Vellum's director Will Evans will moderate casual conversations with the authors, Edyka Chilomé (El Poemario del Colibrí), Fatima-Ayan Malika Hirsi (Everything Good is Dying) and Mike Soto (Dallas Spleen), all of whom are deeply immersed in North Texas' arts scene.  Continue reading...
