Ride-hailing Driver Sexually Assaulted Elderly Woman Before Dropping Her Off, Fort Worth Police Say

Fort Worth police say a driver for a ride-hailing company sexually assaulted an elderly woman before dropping her off last month.Authorities are looking for 40-year-old Hashem Ramezanpour, who they believe may have left the country.Ramezanpour picked up the woman in Dallas on Oct. 22 when she requested a ride via a smartphone app. Before dropping her off at her home in Fort Worth, police said, he stopped and sexually assaulted her.Police did not specify which app the woman had used.Ramezanpour was driving a white 2016 Honda Civic with Texas license plate JBY 3214, police said.Anyone with information about Ramezanpour's whereabouts or who may have heard about similar crimes is asked to call Fort Worth police at 817-392-4350 or 817-392-4359.
