Rapid Warm Up as the Week Begins

From NBC 5 meteorologist Brian James: Today started on a chilly note, but it turned out to be a pleasant afternoon with temperatures in the 70s. We will warm up even more as we kick off a new work and school week with highs around 80° on Monday and near 90° on Tuesday. A cold front will knock temperatures back down for the middle part of the week. Late in the week, the chance for showers and storms will go up, but it appears the greater threat for storms will be north of the Red River. Our next best chance for storms will be Saturday ... and some of those storms could be strong to severe.Keep up with the latest changes to the weather by downloading the NBC DFW smartphone app!10-Day Forecast TONIGHT: Clear.
