NBC 5 Forecast: Heat and Humidity Returning

Sunday will offer a mix of sun and clouds with a slight chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms mainly east of DFW this afternoon. Temperatures will feel a lot warmer this afternoon with a bit more humidity in the air.It will feel even hotter and way more humid in the coming week. Right now, our normal high is 97 degrees. This is also the highest level for the entire year. Our high temperatures will be inching closer to that mark over the next few days. Humidity levels will also be trending up making it feel uncomfortable again.Though the week ahead will have a warming trend, North Texas will have a chance for a few showers and storms on Monday as a storm system passes by us to the north. We will be on the far southern fringe but will still have a shot at a little rain. The best chance will be NE of DFW.Latest Forecast TODAY: Partly cloudy and muggy. High: 95. Wind: SE 10 mph.
