Intoxicated Mercedes Driver to Blame for Wrong-way Crash on LBJ Freeway, Police Say

A Mercedes driver going the wrong way crashed into another car in the TEXpress lanes of LBJ Freeway early Monday, police say.Police suspect the 34-year-old driver was intoxicated when he crashed into a Chrysler Sebring while driving west in an eastbound lane about 3:15 a.m. The Sebring driver's injuries included a fractured leg and multiple cuts, police said. He's 22 years old.The Mercedes driver had a cut on his right hand. Police said they administered a field sobriety test and determined that he was intoxicated.He was arrested on an intoxication assault charge. His name has not been released.  Continue reading...
