House Panel Says Trump's Tweet-denial of Comey Tapes Not Good Enough, Threatens Subpoena

WASHINGTON -- The Texan leading the House inquiry into Russian meddling in the U.S. election ramped up pressure on the White House over the firing of FBI director James Comey, threatening a subpoena Thursday to clarify whether Comey's conversations with President Trump were recorded.Rep. Mike Conaway, R-Midland, issued the threat with the Intelligence Committee's top Democrat, Rep.
