Diamond Doctor Case Ends With Both Sides Agreeing to Halt War of Words

A federal judge has approved a legal settlement in which both sides in a contentious case involving Dallas' Diamond Doctor permanently agreed to stop saying mean things about each other.The injunction came as part of a case that included robo-calls, accusatory websites and billboards, all aimed at painting jeweler David Blank as a fraudster. The case had been set to go to trial last week and a jury of four men and four women had been seated, according to an attorney in the case.The media campaign against Diamond Doctor was led by a Tennessee attorney who said he was looking out for consumers. One magistrate in the case said the Nashville lawyer acted in "bad faith."Following the settlement and injunction, the case was dismissed with prejudice, meaning it can't be refiled.  Continue reading...
