Dallas Police Arrest Man Accused of Stealing Vehicle With 3-year-old Boy Inside

A 3-year-old was reunited with his mother Tuesday after he was left in a vehicle that was stolen, Dallas police say. Officers responded about 5:30 p.m. to a child abduction call in the 7400 block of South Westmoreland Road, near Interstate 20, in Red Bird. A woman told police she left the child asleep in the backseat while she went into a store. She said a man got into the vehicle and drove off with the child inside. Police found the vehicle about half a mile away in the 4000 block of Independence Drive. Officers saw a man attempt to flee on foot and took him into custody. The child was uninjured, police said.Police have not said what charges the 24-year-old man faces. His name has not been released.   Continue reading...
