Dallas County Finally Has a New District Attorney, Report Says

Gov. Greg Abbott will appoint attorney Faith Johnson as Dallas district attorney after the spot was vacant for three months, WFAA-TV reported.Neither the governor's office or Johnson could be reached for comment. The governor's office has not publicly named the new district attorney. Several others who applied for the position told The Dallas Morning News that they were not chosen.Johnson, 66, is a former Republican state district judge and former prosecutor who has largely been out of the public eye since going into private practice a decade ago.
