78-year-old Man Dies in McKinney House Fire

A 78-year-old man died in a house fire Sunday afternoon in McKinney, officials say. The McKinney Fire Department was called about 2:30 p.m. to the blaze in the 1100 block of Rockwall Street, near Jefferson Street. Firefighters learned the man was still inside and attempted to save him, but were unable to do so, department spokesman Merit Ossian said. The man's identity has not been released.
