1 Dead, 1 Critically Injured After Car Strikes Good Samaritans Pushing SUV on U.S. 67

A Good Samaritan died and another was in grave condition after being struck by a car while trying to help a stranded driver on U.S. Highway 67 near downtown Dallas.About 11 p.m. Sunday, the pair came across the scene of a crash involving a Ford Explorer and another car on southbound Highway 67 near the Interstate 35 split. Police said the driver of the other car tried to speed away, but his car broke down and he ran away, leaving the driver of the Ford Explorer stranded.So the pair of Good Samaritans -- a man and a woman -- came to the driver's rescue and started pushing the Explorer out of the road when a Honda struck them.One of them died after arriving at the hospital. The other was critical.The drivers of the Explorer and the Honda were not injured.Police said early Monday that they were still investigating the crash.  Continue reading...
