Violet O’Hara will host a teaser night at the Texas Theatre this evening at 9 p.m., and Velvet Fontaine will host tomorrow’s main show at the House of Blues at 7 p.m. $20
ART AFTER DARK: Tonight not only marks the first Late Night event of the year, but also the Dallas Museum of Art’s 108th birthday. Help them celebrate with a night full of African beats, jazz and blues tunes, lively polka music from Brave Combo, and a performance by folk/rock artists Telegraph Canyon. 6 p.m. to midnight. $10 at the door.
