Norah Jones to Release Covers Album

Norah Jones, still best known for her ten-times platinum debut album, "Come Away With Me," has always been a more diverse artist than the soft, jazzy numbers she's recognized for and a new album of covers seeks to reveal the depth of her versatility, reports the New York Daily News.

"Featuring," in stores November 2, does not contain any new tracks, but rather rounds up 18 collaborations that Jones has done with various artists over the past decade. Incuded will be duets with legendary acts like Ray Charles and more contemporary groups like Belle & Sebastian and Outkast.

"It's so exciting and flattering and fun when I get asked to sing with somebody that I admire," she said in a statement. "It takes you a little bit out of your comfort zone when you're doing something with another artist. You don't know what to expect - it's kind of like being a little kid and having a playdate."

Some of the track highlights are "Baby It's Cold Outside" with Willie Nelson, "Virginia Moon" with the Foo Fighters and "More Than This" with guitarist Charlie Hunter.
