Rangers 40th Anniversary Voting Underway

The Texas Rangers are one of the younger franchises in Major League Baseball in the grand scheme of things. Sure, they're no Tampa Bay Rays or Florida Marlins, but they're also no Boston Red Sox or Chicago Cubs.

It seems the consensus all-time favorite Ranger was just honored a couple of weeks ago when he announced his retirement, a stocky catcher by the name of Ivan Rodriguez, but there are plenty of other fan favorites to choose from: Rusty Greer, Steve Buechele, Pete Incaviglia, Ruben Sierra and the list goes on.

Voting is underway for the 40th anniversary all-time Rangers team, and fans can vote on the Rangers' team website.

Fans will choose one of each of the following positions: first base, second base, third base, shortstop, designated hitter and catcher and then two starting pitchers, two relief pitchers and three outfielders.

There's going to be some good players left off the team, so get out there and make your vote count.
