Rangers Bench Coach Hospitalized

Rangers bench coach Jackie Moore felt light-headed during Sunday's game

Texas Rangers bench coach Jackie Moore has been hospitalized after feeling light-headed during the team's 13-6 win over the Los Angeles Angels.

Team spokesman John Blake says Moore left the bench after becoming ill in the sixth inning of Sunday night's game.

Blake says the 73-year-old Moore was feeling better by the time he was looked at in the clubhouse. But Moore was still transported to Medical Center of Arlington, where Blake said the coach was being held overnight as a precaution.

Moore has been involved in professional baseball for 55 consecutive years as a player, coach or manager. He is in his fourth stint as a Rangers coach, and this is his fourth season on manager Ron Washington's staff.
