Ving Rhames: "Piranha 3D" Better Than "Avatar"

Ving Rhames is in talks to reprise his "Mission: Impossible" role as expert computer hacker Luther Stickell for "M:I-4," the actor confirmed to NBC's LXTV on Monday.

"We're discussing doing part four," he told LX.

Rhames, who has appeared opposite Tom Cruise in all three “M:I” movies, revealed last week he had to fight to keep his character from being killed off early on in the first film.

“Originally my character died in the first six minutes,” Rhames told George Lopez. “I called Tom Cruise and [director] Brian DePalma and I said ‘why is it the black man dies in every action movie the first six minutes?’ Well, I’m about to do 'Mission:Impossible IV,' so cha-ching!”

Rhames is also set to star in “Pirhana 3D,” a remake of the 1978 horror film that hits theaters later this month.

“I call it Piranha 4D. They do some technical things that I don't think we've necessarily seen in film yet,” Rhames told LX . “No offense to Avatar, but I think we might be a notch better.”
