The first Sunday of the month is free admission day at the Dallas Heritage Village at Old City Park.  Pack a lunch and bring the whole family for historic fun. Participate in themed activities for everyone to enjoy. The theme for September is “Back to School.” What was it like to go to school over 100 years ago? Visit the Renner School House and have a seat for an 1888 lesson. Play with toys and games after the School Marm dismisses you!

Ferré Ristorante & Bar in Sundance Square has a great deal every Monday.  How does $0 sound for a two-course dinner?  The restaurant's "Dine On Us" promotion offers a free meal and only asks that guests pay for their drinks and tip their server according to what their meal would have cost -- had it not been free.  Sounds more than fair to me.  Reservations are recommended and more information is available on the restaurant's Facebook page.
