    The Annual Cow Appreciation Day celebration at Chick-fil-A is Friday, July 8, 2011 will reward diners who dress up like cows.

    Customers dressed as cows can score a free meal from Chick-fil-A Friday, July 8 in honor of Cow Appreciation Day.
     
    The popular fast-food joint plans to give away close to half a million chicken sandwiches nationwide.

    Any one of the 75-area restaurants will also award a complimentary entrée to customers partially dressed in cow attire, such as a cow-spotted scarf, purse, tie, hat or other accessory.

    Annual Cow Appreciation Day Celebration at Chick-fil-A Starts with a McKinney Ave. Trolley Tour, which will draws cow-clad customers on Friday for free meal.

    What: On Fri., July 8, it's ok to dress like a cow. In fact, it's encouraged as Chick-fil-A invites Dallas/Ft. Worth customers to join in the celebration of Cow Appreciation Day.

    Customers who dress head to "hoof" in cow attire will be rewarded for their participation in the chain's seventh annual celebration with a free meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) when they visit one of the company's 75-area restaurants. Chick-fil-A will award a complimentary entrée to customers partially dressed in cow attire, such as a cow-spotted scarf, purse, tie, hat or other accessory.
    Kicking the celebration off early, the cows will take the McKinney Avenue Trolley and Downtown Dallas by storm at lunchtime on Wed., July 6. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the cows will ride the trolley to hand out giveaways and Chick-fil-A sandwiches at stops along the route. Visitors and business people are invited to join the celebration and enjoy free sandwiches at two stops - McKinney Plaza and the Dallas Museum of Art.
