IT'S SO HEAVY: 09/09/09 isn't just a great date in the eyes of numerologists, it's also the biggest day for Beatles fans since they played on roof of the Apple headquarters. The remasters for all 14 Beatles albums hit stores tomorrow, but that's not stopping Good Records from hosting a "megamix" screening of Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine, Help, Hard Day's Night, and Anthology whilst faux-Ringos with plastic instruments wail away on an advance demo of The Beatles: Rock Band, which releases at midnight tonight. Beginning at 10 p.m., too, Hard Night's Day (Dallas Observer's best cover band winner this year and frequent guest on Good Morning Texas) will bust out their full regalia to play classic Beatles tunes until, at the stroke of midnight, you can finally buy that remastered copy of Rubber Soul.

DRAPER VIA RIVERA: You have about two more weeks to catch Diego Rivera: The Cubist Portraits at SMU's Meadows Museum, but a certain Sunday night ritual inspired us to look up more about the art styles hodgepodged together to get Don Draper's iconic opening. Even if you're not a Sterling-Cooper fan, you should check out the art you'd traditionally see in college textbook -- if only to remember how bizarre some of the portraits (?) can be.

HOW DANDY: The Dandy Warhols' "We Used to Be Friends" should certainly be played at their 8 p.m. show at the Granada tonight, or the Veronica Mars fans are likely to attack the Oregon-based band. Aside from that song, it's often said they compare favorable to The Velvet Underground, who's "Who Loves the Sun?" could have been a Beatles song. It comes full circle, you see? Number 9, number 9, number 9...
