Two Dead, Two Injured in 3 Vehicle Crash in Parker County

Two people are dead and two others are in the hospital after slick roads caused a three vehicle crash near Springtown, officials say.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said that at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, troopers were called to a three vehicle crash on state Highway 199 near Agnes North.

Officials said that a 2001 Chevy pickup truck was on SH 199 when they lost control because of the wet roads. The pickup truck skidded to the side into the westbound lane of traffic.

The truck was hit on the passenger side by a 2007 Honda. A third vehicle, a Ford F-250 hit the Honda and then ran into a pipe fence.

Officials said that the driver of the Chevy truck, Anastasio Bugarin, and his wife, Romana Bugarin, both died at the scene of the crash.

Troopers said that a child that was in the back seat of the Chevy truck was injured and taken to Cooks Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth. The driver of the Honda, Amber Copeland, was also injured and taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

Officials said that the driver of the Ford, Gary Gresham, was not injured.

The current condition of the two survivors is unknown.
