Thanksgiving travelers rejoice, Interstate 35 near the Alliance Gateway has reopened. The highway was closed for several hours due to a crash and fuel spill.
Traffic was backed up on I-35W northbound all the way to downtown Fort Worth. Southbound traffic also came at a crawl.
Two 18-wheelers are involved in the crash, which spilled an estimated 80 gallons of fuel across both lanes of I-35W North.
Cleanup took several hours and reopened just before 5 p.m., NBCDFW crews at the scene report traffic is picking back up in the area.
The condition of those involved in the crash is not yet known.
