So far, police have arrested Wilson Alexander Benitez, 45, in connection with the shooting. He has been charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery with bond set at $100,000.

Police said the shooting was not random. Neighbors say whether or not the shooting was targeted, they are not taking any chances and changing the way they live.

"We have been more vigilant, my husband makes sure I know how to use the gun we keep,” said Robin Jouett. “And we check on our neighbors and they check on us, so we definitely do not open our doors to anybody, so we are trying to be more vigilant."

Neighbors said a few days before the shooting, a man was walking around the neighborhood at night asking residents to use their phones because he was stranded. Police are still investigating a motive.
