Glenn Beck is preparing to convert the former site of Gateway Church into his new multimedia studio.

Mercury Radio Arts, Beck's company, is requesting approval from the city of Southlake to rezone the 13.67 acres at 2121 E. Southlake Blvd. that used to house Gateway Church's worship center into a zone that would house "radio, television, Internet broadcasting and production studio uses."

The zoning committee will vote on the change Thursday at 6:30 p.m. If approved, the proposal will move on to the City Council for a vote.

Beck left Fox News in June, establishing a new business and home in North Texas.
