The Chief of Staff for Fort Worth police chief Jeff Halstead has apologized for the arrest of Major Paul Henderson, who was arrested in Parker County early Saturday morning on suspicion of drunken driving.

In a release, the Fort Worth Police Department said Department of Public Safety officers arrested Henderson in Parker County.

The release said in part:

Major Henderson was contacted by our Internal Affairs Division and placed on "restricted status".  This matter is being investigated both criminally and administratively so my comments are limited."

Chief Halstead also said he "will make immediate changes in his responsibilities to protect the integrity of this process and ensure all projects can continue as planned ensuring our department remains efficient to our citizens."
