Authorities said Texas 121 has reopened in Allen after a fatal crash involving an 18-wheeler early Thursday morning. [[391258292,R]]
Texas Department of Public Safety officials said a Ford Mustang entered southbound Texas 121 near Stacy Road, struck a concrete barrier, went across the road and went under the 18-wheeler trailer at about 12:18 a.m.
The driver of the 18-wheeler pulled over with the Mustang still lodged under the trailer, according to DPS spokesman Lonny Haschel.
Authorities said the driver of the Mustang was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
Southbound Texas 121 was shut down while crews clear the crash. The road was reopened before 6 a.m.
