    Cool Thursdays Concert Series has begun at the Dallas Arboretum and will continue each week during the spring and fall.

    This event will feature different singers each Thursday and will allow the public to relax on the Martin Rutchik Concert Lawn. The public can also enjoy the scenery of White Rock Lake.

    Before the concert, the gardens will be open to the public so they can stroll and view the floral spring displays. People are permitted to enter with blankets, picnics, and water. However, there will be a food trucks available for people who wish to buy something to eat.

    The World's Greatest 80s Tribute Band, the Molly Ringwalds, sponsored by Herb's Paint and Body, will be present on Thursday, April 24. Aside from a concert and floral displays there will be costume contests. The public is encouraged to come dressed up for an opportunity to win prices.

    A costume winner will get a free one-night stay at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek with breakfast included. Upcoming costume contests will award similar prices.

    Tickets are sold out for Thursday but are still available for next week. Single ticket prices range from $10 to $27. Anyone interested in purchasing a ticket can go to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden website. Group tickets of 15 people or more can be purchased by calling Torie Parsons 214-515-6520.

    Gates will open at 7:30 p.m. anyone can find the entire list of artists that will be present online.
