Decatur High School and Carson Elementary School were placed on soft lockdown Tuesday morning due to a threat against a staff member.

The lockdown, which was put in place as a precaution, has been lifted.

School officials said after the threat was received, the staff member was moved to a secure location off campus.

The district said a person wanted in connection with the threat was located and that the threat has decreased.
