Cowboys Not Taking Cleveland Game Lightly

Tony Romo said this week that the Browns game was as important as any the team has played this season

The Dallas Cowboys won a must-win game at Philadelphia last Sunday, but according to quarterback Tony Romo, there isn’t much difference in terms of the atmosphere in the locker room between last week and this, as the team prepares to host a 2-7 Cleveland Browns team.

“Regardless of who you’re playing and what’s going on around you, you have to take that approach and have a great sense of urgency and our team knows that,” Romo said, per ESPN Dallas. “We’re not letting up. This is as important a game as we’ve had all season.”

It’s true--as much as the win over the Eagles was a breath of fresh air for a struggling Cowboys team, they’re still just 4-5 on the season and in need of a nice run if the season is to end with a playoff appearance.

“This group’s mindset is to go out and compete, win and start stacking them up and give ourselves a chance to compete come December,” said tight end Jason Witten. “That’s our mindset and it’s not just talk. Guys believe it, but ultimately we know we’ve got to go show it.”
