Cowboys Cheerleaders Make Annual USO Trip

This one belongs on the nice list.

The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders depart today for South Korea to entertain military personnel and their families deployed on the peninsula. Might as well, there’s very little to cheer about back at the (Valley) Ranch.

The squad heads to the hotbed of tensions as part of its annual USO trip, for which, no doubt, the servicemen are most appreciative. They will not be home for Christmas.

The girls spend a week there putting on six shows, conducting cheerleading camps, signing autographs, and raising spirits in general, and probably all the other ranks, too.

The trip marks the 31st USO tour for the squad, and hats off to them and their predecessors. Well done, ladies.

A comment associated with last year’s piece on the trip said the world would be a far better place if the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders were deployed to hotspots rather than the military.

Amen to that, brother, amen to that.
