The weather looks like it will cooperate with Thursday night Fourth of July fireworks shows.

The forecast calls for a partly cloudy sky with a 20% chance of a storm during the afternoon hours. Most of the day and the area will be dry. Highs will be in the low 90s. Any storms that develop will be brief and should die out by mid-evening. Temperatures will be in the 80s Thursday evening with a bit of a south breeze.

While no severe weather is expected, keep in mind that any storm that pops up will have some lightning with it. Brief downpours and gusty winds are also possible.
